CHURCH HILL – Nannie Sue (Gray) Marsh, 107, went home to be with the Lord, Friday (February 26, 2010) at the Church Hill Health Care & Rehab Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Marsh was a life long resident of Church Hill and was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church of Church Hill. She helped organize the W.M.U. of the First Baptist Church and served as treasurer
For 57 years. She was a charter member of the Church Hill Senior Citizens.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John William Marsh in 1969, her parents, John and Florence Gray; one Sister, Tennie Marsh; five brothers, Charlie Gray, Bert Gray, Roy Gray, Ralph Gray and Faine Gray.

She is survived by one Daughter, Pauline Carr, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 P. M. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.

Services will be conducted Monday at 7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gerhardt
And the Rev. Jim Gray officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Elm Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ron Gray, Charlie Gray, James Skelton, Paul Marsh, Sevier Gray, Lance Arnold, Bill Gray,
and David Thompson.

The family request those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Building fund of the First Baptist Church of Church Hill.

pauline. i remember your mother from my childhood years into adulthood. she was so kind and sweet to me. her sweet smile and wonderful voice were always there in the choir each Sunday morning. she was a great lady and so my dear are you. with much love, ruth

In 1956 she was my first grade teacher and what a teacher she was.I have a lot of good memories of that year. So sorry to hear of her death.

Ms. Nannie was a great lady who loved the Lord. She made a lasting impression on all that she met. But I know that she is rejoicing in heaven tonight with her Savior. We will miss you greatly. Pauline, our prayers are with you. We love you.
