Roy C. Simpson, age 77, of 106 Sandy Rd., Rogersville passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 14, 1932 in Hawkins County. He retired from the Clinchfield Railroad.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Jasper Lon and Letha Cox Simpson. Sister; Dorothy Simpson, Brothers, John , Herbert, and Dee Simpson. Sister-in-law; Kathleen Simpson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Martha Arnold Simpson of the home, Son ; Len "Cotton" Simpson and wife; Cindy of Rogersville, Daughter; Brenda "Sis" Wallen and husband Randy of Rogersville, Grandchildren; Cody Wallen, Sarah Simpson and Casey Simpson. Brother; Tim Simpson and wife, Elaine of Church Hill, Sisters; Vivian Mullins and husband, David of Church Hill, Celeste Wagner and husband, Ron of Rogersville. Sister-in-laws, Mildred "Priss" Simpson of Church Hill and Violet Simpson of Rogersville.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, and anytime at the residence.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday at the Bowser Cemetery with Rev. Bob Simpson officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Martha & Sis... I was so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I know how bad it hurts to lose someone you lve so much. I trust that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will comfort your family as He did mine during Mom's passing. I am so sorry me or Dad wont be able to make it to the funeral home due to our surgeries yestrday and today.
