Clyde Edward Wilmoth

SURGOINSVILLE- Clyde Edward Wilmoth, 74, of Surgoinsville passed away on Sunday (February 28, 2010) at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army, and retired from the Mead Corporation after 44 years. He was a very special husband and brother who loved cattle farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Richard Wilmoth and Mattie Lloyd Wilmoth, his brother, Kelly T. Wilmoth, nephews, Ira Wilmoth III, and James Damien Wilmoth, brother-in-law, Harold Simpson, sister-in-laws, Mary Neely and Kathleen Fields.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby S. Wilmoth, brothers, James Howard Wilmoth and his wife, Claudell, Carter Gene Wilmoth and his wife, Bernice, Ira Richard Wilmoth, Jr. and his wife, Sylvia Pearson, Albert Lynn Wilmoth and his wife, Judy S., sister, Ethel Bowlin and her husband, Glen, sister-in-law, Nadine and Don Marsh, brother-in-law, Jay and Jana Simpson, R.C. and Joan Simpson, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Wednesday ay Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill.
Graveside services will be conducted following the visitation at Church Hill Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Honorary bearers will be Fred Higgins, Jack Lawson, Dr. Richard Michalik, and Donald Marsh.

Ruby, So sorry to hear about Uncle Clyde, I'm sure he is in a better place in heaven. Losing my son has been the hardest thing that Ken and I have done in this lifetime. But we go foward everyday for our daughters and grandbabies..Think of you often..Our prayers will always be with you. Love Cynthia.

I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Clyde's passing. My best memories of childhood are centered around you and Clyde. After loosing Daddy I don't think I could have gotten through without you both. You both have always held a very special place in my heart and I know how difficult this time is for you. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Love you, JoAnn
