David S. Cox, age 57, of Surgoinsville passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center. Mr. Cox was born in Sullivan County and lived in California for several years before moving to Hawkins County.
He is preceded in death by his father, John R. Cox.
Survivors include his mother, Jessie Dickerson Hawkins of Grants Pass, OR. , Daughter, Tamera Marie Cox of California, Brother, Edward K. Cox of California and Half Brother, Richard Lewis of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 7 to 7:30 pm Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home . Memorial services will be conducted at 7:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Sykes officiating.
